Why are the Orioles doing so well?
Well, they are 18-9 as of May 5th; they are 2nd in the AL East, and they have scored 122 runs. Some players that stand out and help this team are Matt Wieters, Adam Jones, and Jason Hammel. Also, they are stepping up against teams like the Red Sox and the Yankees.

Good-
This team is a big surprise to me and others, but I still think people shouldn’t count them out. Also, their pitching stats are just impressive; they are 2nd in ERA, 6th in WHIP, and 5th BAA. Their leader for those stats are Jason Hammel. He has a 2.09 ERA, four wins, 38 SO’s, and a great .098 WHIP. Now I think he should get some more look into because he is not owned in a lot of leagues in fantasy baseball. In ESPN Standard leagues, he is owned in about 75% of leagues. Now that is low for that kind of talent to be not owned in some leagues. Last, I think what Buck Showalter is doing with this team, with Adam Jones making this team good, and the way they went out and got rid of some player to clear up some money, and to get some nice young talent.
Bad-
The only thing I see bad with the O’s is they need to stay healthy, they do have Nolan Reimold who is an enormous help to the lineup with 5 homers, 10 RBI’s, and an AVG of .313. Now if they can stay healthy they could make it into the playoffs. Also, if Buck can keep up the winning that can help also. He did win his 1,000th a couple of days ago.
Well, my predictions on this team are that I think if they keep this up they can make the playoffs. The only way the can make it is if they keep up the great pitching. So, these are my thoughts on the Orioles! Thanks for reading and make sure to like us on Facebook! Thanks!
